Meet Megan

Baby Basics founder, Megan Tucker remembers sitting on her couch as a new mom, longing for someone to shorten the learning curve, come to her rather than packing up baby and driving to an office, and provide on-going support. Years ago, new parents had family members who often carried out this roll. Sadly, today we tend to live farther away from relatives or support systems. In her travels and with family in England, she discovered new parents in other countries often have midwives or nurses who visit weekly for up to six week after having a baby. As a home health nurse for five years, Megan wanted to pull all of these ideas together to offer families education and private, in-home support in the United States. With the help of modern technology, she has been able to expand this to world-wide and has clients all over the world.

Baby Basic’s goals are centered around helping to educate families, find balance in their individual homes and empowering parents to make confident choices for parenting their children. What makes Baby Basics different is the one-on-one approach, ongoing support, and practical strategies that can be maintained long-term.

Megan Tucker, is a registered nurse, certified lactation consultant, certified Moms On Call consultant and certified childbirth instructor with two decades of experience in women’s health (particularly high risk perinatal and infertility), home health, lactation, and patient education. She believes that families benefit greatly from a more personal approach. All Baby Basics classes and support packages are private and conveniently located in the comfort of your own home.

Megan lives in the Metro Atlanta area with her husband. Together, they have four children and have welcomed numerous foster children into their home since 2012.
